Youth Programs
Middle School Youth Ministry
The Youth Ministry programs at Saint Clare
Parish are comprehensive programs that serve to foster the faith
development of the young person through a variety of methods that
include spiritual, social, and service opportunities. Our
Middle School Youth Program serves young people in grades 6-8. Adventures in Service – Each summer we hold a week of service activities for middle school and high school youth. Each morning we start with a prayer service followed by a discussion about the people we are serving that day. We then leave for the service sites. Some of the sites we have visited include Sarah’s House, St. Paul’s, Riverview, Meals for AIDS, Sarah’s Hope, and Happy Helpers for the Homeless. We return to Saint Clare’s for lunch and spend the afternoon in some kind of fun activity; movies, bowling, swimming, Six Flags, etc. This program requires several volunteers and is a rewarding experience. Other
middle school activities include an 8th grade trip to an
amusement park, skating, bowling, movies, and Rock ‘n Bowl. Coming in March – THE EDGE: Extreme Faith – Middle School Youth Gatherings – Once a month after school we will meet in the Church Hall for special activities. We will have movie and game afternoons, classes in sports, crafts, and hobbies, competitions in sports and games. Again we need volunteers to make this happen, please contact the parish center if you are able to help. High School Youth Ministry
