QUALITY OF WORK POLICY

GRADES FOUR TO EIGHT

1. Students will use pencil in computer lab, math and science labs only.  All other work is to be completed in blue or black pen.

2. White-out may not be used.  A single straight line should be drawn through any mistake.  (Only three line-outs will be allowed per page or the page must be written again.)

3. The proper heading is to be used on all written work.  Beginning on the first line.

4. Misspelled grade level words will receive points deducted in all subject areas.*

5. Capitalization and punctuation errors will result in points being deducted in each  subject area.*

6. Directions are to be followed in completing all written work.  If directions are not followed, i.e. answering in complete sentences work will be returned with a re-do tag.

7. Work marked “re-do” is due the very next school day.

8. Work handed in must be on loose-leaf paper or from books with perforated edges not from a regular spiral notebook.
